Let’s face it, there are aspects of the holidays that can be overwhelming. It is a busy time of the year, and, for some of us, being around so much family can be stressful even when everyone gets along. For others, the desire to be with family members who are no longer with us can bring profound feelings of loneliness and sadness. Still, others have suffered tragedy and heartache, always to be reminded each time the holidays roll around. It can be a real ba-humbug time of year for many people. While I have a passion to help everyone who finds their way to me, working with children and young adults is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work. It is profoundly moving when I witness young ones release negative energy. It is also deeply rewarding to know that they won’t be impacted by it for a lifetime. I often wonder how my life might have evolved had my trapped emotions been released while I was young. Could cancer have been avoided? Would I have been less anxious as a teenager? Would I have had the confidence to try out for one of the teams in high school?
